In 2022, NAMSC is introducing the Super Sprint category as an option for regular Lapsprint participants to compete.  Like Lapsprint, drivers can bring road registered and equivalent vehicles to the track.  All cars must pass a safety inspection which generally checks for working brake lights, no leaks, all components properly secured and working seat belt or harness.

Lapsprint and Super Sprint drivers must hold a Motorsport Australia Speed licence and wear a helmet, long sleeves & pants, and enclosed shoes.

For those who wish to compete in the Super Sprint category a Dorian timing device is required.

The first round will be run as part of the 2022 Circuit Racing Pointscore Series - Round One (Ross Hanning Memorial), which includes Circuit Excel, HQ, Commodore Cup and Improved Production racing categories.
