In addition to the monthly race events, we have been invited to support the V8 Supercars at Hidden Valley for the last fourteen years since the first V8 Supercar round commenced in Darwin.. With the thrill of racing in front of an amazing crowd, this event is always well supported by the Commodore Cup, Improved Production and HQ entrants with up to 40 cars on the grid to start the weekend thrills.
NAMSC evolved as a Rally Club in the early 1960's, with the split to Circuit and Rally in the 1980's when the Hidden Valley complex expanded to incorpoate more codes of racing including Drags and Motorcyles and Karts under their own incorporated bodies.
Membership with NAMSC provides the opportunity to explore and enjoy motorsports in a safe, relaxed environment. Members range across all ages, with a number of female drivers in Impoved Production, Holden HQ and Mortokhana. Many of our current race drivers joined NAMSC as juniors while still at school . Members have the opportunity to race approved race cars door to door; race streetcars in Lapsprints, drift the rubber of your tyers ,or test your skills at Motorkhana, whatever appeals to you and your wallet!
Special Events
The February Meeting is traditionally the “Ross Hanning Memorial” in memory of Club Member and Treasurer “Rosco” Hanning who passed away in 2000. Rosco’s ashes were scattered over Hidden Valley after his funeral.
The “Tim Linklater & Keith ‘Slim’ Pritchard” Memorial trophy is presented to the highest placed HQ Holden competitor to finish in the annual V8 Supercar Race Meeting each year.
